Sarah's Journey
From cancer treatment thinning my hair, back to living every moment to the full: Meet Sarah W
We were deeply moved by Sarah’s journey, but also committed to knowing what we offer can truly help women.
Cancer treatment has thinned Sarah’s hair and she felt disconnected from her reflection. When she came to us, she was looking for a premium product, customised just for her.
Amanda used her expertise to create a perfect, natural match, restoring the exact style Sarah loved before her cancer. Hearing Sarah say she feels like herself again and can focus on living every moment with her husband is exactly why we do what we do.
Here’s Sarah’s journey in her own words…
The Search
Looking for an alternative to itchy fibre wigs and ineffective topical products
Since my cancer treatment, my hair has weakened and thinned.
I did try fibre wigs when I had chemotherapy, but I found them hot, itchy and uncomfortable. Whilst my hair has grown back, it is not the same as before I had treatment. So, I spent lots of time and money buying topical products and expensive drying equipment and styling tools to try and make my own hair look fuller and thicker.
However, every time I looked in the mirror I didn’t see the real me…the me before I became ill.
Whilst I tried everything within my power to get back to being me, every time I looked in the mirror my hair told a different story and it really got me down.
The Solution
Finding Boost – the perfect match
When I discovered Boost, I was really impressed with the whole experience and Amanda’s expertise.
She matched my Boost to my natural hair and then cut it to my ideal length.

The Success
Time to get on with living every moment
With my Boost, I love the fact that when my husband looks at me, and when I look at me, I look like I always did.
Wearing it has given me the confidence to just get on with living every moment together without the constant reminder of what I’ve been through.
